| | | | | | | | I. RECOMMENDATION:
Staff is recommending Council authorize the Assistant City Manager to execute four (4) engineering task orders with Tri-City Engineering related to the ATP 5 Grant Funded Project.
II. BACKGROUND:
The City of Coalinga applied for and received both ATP and CMAQ grants funds to support the East Polk Street Bike/Ped Safety and Connectivity Initiative. The project includes the installation of sidewalk, curb ramps, curb and gutter, drive approaches, crosswalk striping, and a Class I multi-use trail (between Merced and Willow Springs). The various sidewalk, curb ramps and curb and gutter improvements are expected to occur in the neighborhoods both the north and south of Polk street between Garfield and Hayes.
III. DISCUSSION:
The City Engineer has submitted task orders for design engineering, environmental, right-of-way and construction engineering. All task orders have been attached for the Council's consideration.
IV. ALTERNATIVES:
- Do not authorize the Assistant City Manager to execute the four (4) task orders submitted by the City Engineer.
V. FISCAL IMPACT:
The total authorized amount for all four (4) task orders is $319,800.00. These expenses will be covered by the grant proceeds from CMAQ, ATP and Caltrans funding commitments. | | |
