I. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Coalinga City Council award a Contract in the amount of
$193,370.65 to Video Inspection Specialist (VIS), 5105 Belmont Ave, Fresno, CA 93727 to provide CCTV inspection services to the City of Coalinga.
II. BACKGROUND:
The City of Coalinga executed a contact with AMC Consulting Engineers to conduct a feasibility study and perform a CCTV inception of the City's sewer infrastructure. As part of the contract, AMC was going to solicit bids for a full inspection of the City's sewer infrastructure.
In August 2022, request for proposals we issued and posted to silicate bids for CCTV inspection services.
III. DISCUSSION:
The City received and opened eight bids for this project on September 1, 2022 and Video Inspection Specialists (VIS) at 5105 E. Belmont Ave, Fresno, CA 93727 was the apparent low bidder with a total bid proposal of $193,370.65. A copy of the bid summary has been attached.
IV. ALTERNATIVES:
The alternative to this council action would be to reject all bids. If all bids are rejected, the City would have to re-advertise or cancel the project. Staff believes that re-advertising the project will not result in lower bids.
V. FISCAL IMPACT:
Total authorization request for this contract is $193,370.65 paid in full by proceeds awarded through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. |
