I. RECOMMENDATION:
Staff has no formal recommendation. This item was requested by the Planning Commission.
II. BACKGROUND:
Planning Commission has requested laptops for various tasks such as receiving and responding to email and conducting general commissioner duties at and away from meetings.
III. DISCUSSION:
If the Council so chooses, staff would suggest purchasing the same laptops that were purchased for the City Council.
IV. ALTERNATIVES:
1. Council could authorize laptops only for Commissioners who would like one or
2. Do not authorize laptops for Commissioners.
V. FISCAL IMPACT:
The laptops would cost approximately $649.00 each totaling $3,245.00 for all 5 Planning Commissioners. This is an unbudgeted item and would come from the Council budget which is part of the City's General Fund. |
