I.    RECOMMENDATION:

There is no staff recommendation.  This item was requested as a Future Agenda Item by Councilwoman Stolz.



II.    BACKGROUND:

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, council meetings have had to be broadcasted from an online environment.  The City previously used Big Marker which was made  available and moderated by the City Attorney.

 

Council then directed staff to look into alternatives. 

 

Staff presented alternatives and Council opted to try Zoom for one month.  Zoom is moderated by the City Clerk. 

 

The one month trial has now ended.

 



III.   DISCUSSION:

Staff seeks direction from the Council regarding whether or not to continue with Zoom ($154.99 per month), revert back to Big Marker (Free), or explore other alternatives.



IV.   ALTERNATIVES:

Options include:

1.  Continue using Zoom;

2.  Revert back to Big Marker;

3.  Direct staff to explore alternatives.



V.    FISCAL IMPACT:

If Council chooses to continue with Zoom Webinar, the cost is 154.99/mo.    This is not budgeted and would come from the General Fund.
