I. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Coalinga City Council award a Contract in the amount of $78,500 to Ronnie Wilson & Andrew J. Eliopulos Construction Inc, 4316 Norval Avenue Quartz Hill, CA 93536 for the City Hall Roof silicone restoration roof system.
II. BACKGROUND:
The City of Coalinga City Hall building is located at 155 W. Durian. The building roof has not been replaced. City staff has repaired problem areas over the last few years. Despite staff’s efforts, water continues to leak inside the building in areas.
III. DISCUSSION:
City Staff received five (5) bids for this project. Ronnie Wilson & Andrew J. Eliopulos Construction Inc was the apparent low bidder with a total bid proposal of $78,500. If the City Council decides to award the project to Ronnie Wilson & Andrew J. Eliopulos Construction Inc the contractor will have 30 working days to complete the work.
Authorize the City Manager or designee to proceed with the City Hall Roof silicone restoration roof system.
IV. ALTERNATIVES:
The alternative to this action would be to not award the silicone restoration roof system project.
V. FISCAL IMPACT:
This project was budgeted in the 2019/20 Fiscal Year Building Maintenance Budget. The amount budgeted was $84,000, $5,500 above the cost for the bid. |
