I. RECOMMENDATION:
City Manager recommends adopting Resolution 3921 revising the Police Pay Scale.
II. BACKGROUND:
This revision to the Police Pay Scale reflects a 7% pay increase.
III. DISCUSSION:
The last revision to the Police Pay Scale was effective July 1, 2018 with an end date of June 30, 2019, which reflected a 7% increase in pay. That was in exchange for the elimination of one Police Officer position.
Effective July 1, 2019, the City Council authorized two additional Police Officer positions and the pay scale remained in effect.
IV. ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve the revision to the pay scale.
