INCIDENTS
On June 1st, received dispatch for a vegetation fire on the school farm. We were hampered by erratic winds and fire behavior. Additional equipment was requested. Fire was contained at 20 acres. There were no injuries.
While in the mop up phase on the above fire, a dispatched was received for a structure fire in the 200 block of East Polk Street. Fresno County E94 was covering our station, and was the first equipment to arrive, along with CALFIRE Battalion Chief who assumed command of the incident. Engines from CALFIRE, Fresno County Fire Protection District, Kings County Fire, and Pleasant Valley State Prison were utilized on this fire. Erratic shifting winds, down power lines hampered control efforts. There were no injuries.
On June 19th, our engine responded to a commercial structure fire in Huron. Building suffered major fire involvement and damage. Engine was committed for just under 6 hours.

STAFFING
Our staffing is now at 12. A new Firefighter-Paramedic started on June 25th. Interviews were held on June 5th. 5 candidates started the background process, with 4 remaining after 1 dropped himself from the process after accepting another job. If all remaining candidates make it through background process, we will be one short from our authorized strength once training is completed.
AUTOMATIC AID
There were 11 automatic aid responses to assist Cal Fire this month for a total commit time of 15 hours 49 minutes.
COMMITTED STANDBY
On June 6th, Patrol 171 did a committed standby for the High School Graduation Fireworks
PREVENTION
The Prevention activities for this month include:
Conducted 5 business inspections and reinspections.
