|Subject:||Discussion, Direction and Potential Action regarding an Airport Feasibility Study for Temporary Hangars at Coalinga Municipal Airport|
|Meeting Date:||June 20, 2019|
|From:||Marissa Trejo, City Manager|
|Prepared by:||Mercedes Garcia, Senior Administrative Analyst|
This item was requested as a Future Agenda Item by Mayor Lander.
The City Manager recommends against the feasibility study due to the cost to the General Fund that is not budgeted.
The City of Coalinga received a request for temporary hangar installation at the Coalinga Municipal Airport. Staff provided some information received from neighboring airports about temporary hangars.
A feasibility study to develop the cost and requirements for temporary hangars could cost from $10,000 up to $50,000. These cost would be not be recovered upon the installation of the hangars, but may possibly increase the annual revenue if installation of temporary hangars is approved.
V. FISCAL IMPACT:
The is an un-budgeted Airport expense that would come from the General Fund.
